Dear Mr. Smith:
At your request and authorization, Salem Engineering Group, Inc. (SALEM) had previously conducted a
geotechnical engineering investigation as well as compaction testing during construction of the drainage basin.
Recently, SALEM performed a double-ring infiltrometer test within the bottom of the basin at the site. The
infiltration test was conducted in accordance with ASTM Test Method D3385-09. Based upon the proposed
drainage basin volume and the data collected during our most recent investigation, and from a geotechnical
engineering standpoint, it is our opinion that the drainage basin will drain its design volume within 7 days or less.
