Drainage Calculations
For
Greg’s Petroleum
Located at 7915 Downing Ave.
Grading Permit #16‐4000001
Attn: City of Bakersfield Public Works
Attached is a drainage study for Greg’s Petroleum located at 7915 Downing Ave. The
drainage basin South of the Greg’s Petroleum site is being sized for ultimate build out that
includes the Greg’s Petroleum project on Lot 1 of LLA 15‐0428 and a proposed
Commercial/Retail center that will be located West of the proposed Greg’s Petroleum site.
A C factor of 0.9 will be used on the entire site. The study includes an inlet capacity
calculation for the worst case catch basin (Catch Basin No. 2).
This study includes catch basin sizing for a proposed inlet on Downing Ave. (Catch Basin
No. 1), and a temporary drainage basin that will remain in place until the
Commercial/Retail center site is developed. The area draining to the catch basin is the
South half of Downing Ave. from the corner of Coffee and Downing to the East property line
of Greg’s Petroleum. The water from the South half of Downing, East of Greg’s Petroleum,
drains to a dirt swale in front of the adjacent property, and will not make it to Catch Basin
No. 1
