HomeMy WebLinkAboutROI NO 0719RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 719 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF AN ALLEY IN TRACT NO. 1788 IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA. The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Divi- sion 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1: That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, to order the vacation of a portion of an alley in Tract No. 1786, in said City, more particularly described as follows: All of the easterly 310 feet of that certain alley of 20 feet in width lying between the southerly line of Lots 77 through 86 and the northerly line of Lots 59 through 68. All of the aforesaid alley and lots are shown and delineated on Map of Tract No. 1788 recorded in the office of the County Re- corder of Kern County, California, on June 9, 1955 in Book 8 of Maps, at page 197; reserving to the abutting properties right of access to and £ram South H Street. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California. SECTION 2: That the hour of 8 o'clock P. M., of the 6th day of February, 1956, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, be and the same is fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in or ob- jecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the Council and offer evidence in relation thereto. SECTION 3: That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of 1. Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "Notice of Street Vacation' to be posted as required by said "Street Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act. SECTION h: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and shall cause the same to be posted an the bulletin board at the City Hall, 1$01 TPnAtUO. Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield, within fifteen (1$) days after its passage.
