A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
BAKERSFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT (BPD)
TO ACCEPT FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF
$506,481.00, MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE
STRENGTHENING LAW ENFORCEMENT AND
COMMUNITY RELATIONS GRANT PROGRAM
OF THE STATE BOARD OF COMMUNITY
CORRECTIONS (BSCC).
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield Police Department desires to participate in
the Strengthening Law Enforcement and Community Relations Grant Program
administered by the Board of State and Community Corrections (hereafter referred to as
BSCC).; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Bakersfield
authorizes the City Manager, or his designee, to execute on behalf of the City the
attached grant proposal / grant agreement, including any extensions or amendments
thereof and any subsequent contract with the BSCC in relation thereto; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Bakersfield agrees to abide by the terms
and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by the BSCC.
