Greener I Dear Mr. Ulmer, Fire Chief i Deputy Chief Tyler Hartley This office has reviewed the 3rd quarter groundwater monitoring report Operations/Training/Ar5url submitted by HerSchy Environmental Incorporated dated September 9, 661-326-3655 2011 and at this time we are not in concurrence with the recommendations to grant a low risk closure. While the amount of total percentage of Deputy Chief Tim Lynch Fire Safety/Prevention hydrocarbons for diesel (TPH-d) in the water samples has decreased (150 ervices ug/L), MW 1 still indicates a level that is above US EPA Health Advisory for 661S -326-3652 maximum contaminant levels (MCL) and taste / odor thresholds of 100 ug/L. 2101 "H" Street Please provide a groundwater gradient plot with your 4 th quarter Bakersfield, CA 93301 groundwater monitoring report as to aid in the determination of a trend that (661) 326-3911 the TPH-d is declining and not migrating off site, thereby making a decision (661) 852-2170 (fax) of a low risk closure possible. As was noted in the previous letter dated October 13, 2010, all reports must be up-loaded into "GeoTracker", the case number is T10000002582 prior to any closure being approved. HOWARD H.
