DISPENSER UPGRADE SOIL SAMPLING REPORT FOR JOHNNY'S ARCO FOOD MART

Dear Mr. Haing:
Rich Environmental was contracted by 2612 Buck Owens Blvd LLC to upgrade the dispensers and
product piping at the site. 17ETT. Cory was subcontracted by Rich Environmental to conduct soil
sampling, laboratory analysis, and preparation of this Dispenser Upgrade Soil Sampling Report. The soil
sampling activities were performed on January 9, 2013, under Bakersfield Fire Department Office of
Environmental Services (BFD OES) Permit to Modify (PTM) # 12- 0000538 (see Attachment 1 for the
BFDOES PTM 12- 0000538 and Attachment 2 for a Photographic Log).
SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is located at 2612 Buck Owens Boulevard, Bakersfield, Kern County, California
(see Figure 1 - Site Location Map). The site is located in a commercial area flanking Buck Owens
Boulevard along the east side of State Highway 99 and to the north of Rosedale Highway
(see Figure 2 - Site Vicinity Aerial. The site is identified as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 332 - 580 -09
(see Figure 3 – Assessor's Parcel Map). The site is at an elevation of 400 feet above mean sea level, and
the topography is relatively flat with a slight slope to the southwest. The site is located within the
southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 23, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, Mount
Diablo Baseline and Meridian. Located at the site are th reel 2,000- gallon double - walled fiberglass
gasoline underground storage tanks (USTs), four multiple product dispensers (MPDs) with secondary
containment on two islands, and associated double - walled fiberglass product and vapor recovery piping
(see Figure 4 – Plot Plan).
