All improvements shall be in accordance with the Kem County Development Standards and other County adopted policy _ 2. Manhole frame and covers shall be Alhambra A-1270, or approved equal, con– forming to ASTM A48-83 Class 35B and H2O -44 Highway Loading. Cast into the top of the cover shall be the letter designations "SEWER" and "KCSD'. Only two pickholes shall be provided in the cover, one pickhole in the body of the cover and one pickhole on the edge of the cover. 3. Manhole steps are required and shall be M.A. Industries Model PS-2–PF or approved equal polypropelene coated manhole step. The top step shall be no more 'than 34' below finish street grade and no less than 20' below the top of the eccentric manhole cone. The bottom step shall be 10'to to 20' above the manhole floor. Step shall be 12" on center and shall be in vertical align– ment over the outgoing sewer. 4. Eccentric manhole cones shall be used, with the straight vertical side positioned over the outgoing sewer. 5. Building sewers terminating in sewer manholes shall be a minimum 6" to a maximum 12" above the invert of the outgoing sewer. 6. Where a cast–in=place manhole base is used, placement of reinforcing bars and water, stops shall be approved by the sewer inspector prior to pouring of concrete. 7. The letter "S' shall be scribed in the top of curb directly above each building sewer. 8. Drop manholes, where allowed, shall have inside drop section. The drop section shall be one pipe size larger than the incoming sewer, shall be constructed . of PVC sewer pipe and shall be constructed so as to be removable by maintenance crew for cleaning when the drop section becomes plugged. The bottom elbow of the drop section shall be in an open trough sloped to the outgoing sewer. 9. Where there is no existing County Service Area, a County Service Area shall be formed for purpose of sewer maintenance prior to recordation of tract. C.S.A #71, Zones 3,5,7, and 8 have been extended to provide sewer maintenance. 10. A representative of the Sanitation District shall be present at sewer pre– construction meetings and shall be notified two work days prior to start of sewer construction. 11. Prior to final acceptance of the sewer, the County Service Area shall be provided with one set of the 'As–Built' drawings in Cronar 12. Prior to commencing construction within existing public road right–of–ways, an encroachment permit shall be obtained from the appropriate agency. 13. Fordry sewers the sewer system sholl . terminate in the public right–of–way with access to the future trunk system that is to serve the area. ' ADDITIONAL NOTES: 1. ROAD SUBGRADE TO BE DETERMINED BY CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING PROPER SUBGRADE. 2. CONSTRUCTION SURVEYS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE SPECIFIED EARTHWORK WILL BE PROVIDED ONCE BY THE CIVIL ENGINEER.. THE COST FOR RESTAKING SHALL BE BORNE BY THE CONTRACTOR. PRIVATE ENGINEERS NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS THE EXISTENCE AND LOCATION OF ANY UNDERGROUND UTILITY PIPES OR STRUCTURES SHOWN ON THESE PLANS ARE OBTAINED BY A FIELD SEARCH AND A SEARCH OF THE AVAILABLE RECORDS.
