WHERE NEW ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT IS TO CONFORM TO EXISTING PAVED SURFACES THE EXISTING PAVEMENT IS TO BE SAW CUT IN A NEAT STRAIGHT LINE, EITHER PARALLEL OR PERPENDICULAR TO THE CENTERLINE OF THE STREET, AND AT A MINIMUM DISTANCE OF TWO (2) FEET FROM THE EXISTING EDGE OF PAVEMENT. 7. A PRIME COAT WILL BE REQUIRED ON NON -PAVED AREAS TO BE SURFACED PRIOR TO THE PLACEMENT OF ASPHALT CONCRETE. HOWEVER, ALL OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 39-4.01, "SUBGRADE', OF THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS CURRENT EDITION SHALL BE MEET. 8.
