AN OPEN STREET PERMIT SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR ANY WORK PERFORMED WITHIN EXISTING ACCEPTED STREET RIGHT—OF—WAY. UNLESS SECURED BY A SUBDIVISION AGREEMENT, SECURITY BASED ON AN APPROVED ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE FOR THE WORK PERFORMED WITHIN THE RIGHT—OF—WAY AND INSURANCE AS REQUIRED SHALL BE PROVIDED PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF BUILDING PERMIT. 2. PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION THE CITY CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION DEPARTMENT SHALL BE GIVEN 24 HOURS NOTICE (PHONE: 326-3049) FOR TESTING AND INSPECTION. 5. DPSI INC. SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR UNAUTHORIZED CHANGES TO, OR USES OF THESE PLANS. ALL CHANGES TO THESE PLANS MUST BE APPROVED IN WRITING BY DPSI INC. 6. COMPACTION TESTS SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER/SUBDIVIDER/CONTRACTOR. THE NUMBER AND LOCATION OF REQUIRED TESTS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CITY ENGINEER. 7. WHERE PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS CONNECT TO EXISTING FACILITIES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL, PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF CONSTRUCTION, VERIFY THE LOCATION (HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL), SIZE AND TYPE OF THE EXISTING FACILITY. SHOULD THE ACTUAL LOCATION, SIZE OR TYPE DIFFER FROM THAT SHOWN ON THE PLANS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER IMMEDIATELY FOR POSSIBLE DESIGN CHANGES. 8. UNDERGROUND FACILITIES KNOWN TO EXIST ARE SHOWN ON THE PLANS BASED ON AVAILABLE RECORDS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFICATION, LOCATION, PROTECTION AND REPAIR (IF DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION) OF SAID FACILITIES. ANY ADDITIONAL STRENGTH REQUIRED BY BORING/JACKING OPERATIONS SHALL BE FURNISHED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT TO THE ENGINEER FOR APPROVAL ALL PLANS OR BORING/JACKING OPERATIONS PRIOR TO COMMENCING BORING AND JACKING OPERATIONS.
