The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941" being Sections 8300, et seq., of Division 9, Part 3 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION 1. That it is the intention of the Council of the City of Bakersfield to order the vacation of a portion of the alley in Block 172, situate in the City o`. Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more par " -e "cularl lescr4be' o„ follows: Alley in Block 1.72, bounded by 22nd, 23rd, P and Q Streets. EXCEPTING and RESERVING the north 10C.00 feet of said alley as a public utility easement. That it is determined by the Council of the City of Bakersfield that the public convenience and necessity require the reservation of the aforementioned easement and the proceedings hereunder are taken subject to such reservations and exceptions. For further particulars as to the proposed vacation, reference is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California. SECTION 2: That the hour of 8:00 P.M., of the 6th day of July, 1964, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, be and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the Council and offer evidence in relation thereto. SECTION 3: That the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Bakersfield, California, be and he is hereby directed to cause "Notice of Street Vacation " to be posted as required by said "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", being Division 9, 'fart 3 of the . Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and the Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under the provisions of said Act.
