4. CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CROSSING EXISTING WATER, SEWER AND STORM DRAINS, EITHER
UNDER OR OVER, AS REQUIRED TO MEET PG&E COVER REQUIREMENTS AND 6" MINIMUM CLEARANCE.
MAINTAIN AT LEAST 5' OF SEPARATION BETWEEN UTILITY TRENCH AND ANY PARALLEL WATER, SEWER,
OR STORM DRAIN TRENCH.
5. THE LOCATION OF ALL EXISTING OR NEWLY INSTALLED WATER, SEWER, STORM DRAIN OR OTHER
LINES SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CUSTOMER. THE CUSTOMER SHALL NOT RELY ON PG&E TO

4. PG&E INSPECTOR TO APPROVE ALL EXCAVATIONS AND TRENCHES
(LOCATION AND BACKFILL MATERIAL) =RIOR TO BACKFILLING.
5. TRENCHING AGENT TO DISPOSE OF ALL SPOIL.
6. MINIMUM COVER FROM FINAL GRADE REQUIRED
FOR ALL FACILITIES IN THE STREET AREA.
7. TRENCHING AGENT TO SECURE ALL PERMITS.
8. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CROSSING EXISTING WATER, SEWER,
AND STORM DRAIN LINES, EITHER UNDER OR OVER, AS REQUIRED
TO MEET PG&E COVER AND CLEARANCE REQUIRMEDNTS.

9. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED 'TO REMOVE AND REPLACE
TRENCH SPOIL WITH 100% SELECT BACKFILL AS REQUIRED BY
PG&E SPECIFICATIONS, AND ANY LOCAL CITY, COUNTY, OR
STATE REQUIREMENTS.
10. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO PLACE TEMPORARY AD4D/OR
PERMANENT PAVING IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANY LOCAL CITY, COUNTY,
OR STATE REQUIREMENTS.
11. APPLICANT TO PROVIDE AND INSTALL ANY PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
(BARRIER POSTS, FENCES, ETC...) REQJIRED BY PG&E.
12. THE APPLICADNT/CONTRACTOR WILL ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY
OF MAINTENANCE OF THE TRENCH (E.G. COMPACTION, PAVING,
ETC..) FOR A PERIOD OF TWO (2) YEARS OR AS SPECIFIED IN THE
PERMIT, WHICHEVER IS LONGER.
13. TRENCHING AGENT MUST MAINTAIN A MINIMUM OF THREE (3) FEET
BETWEEN THE CLOSEST EDGE OF ANY PARALLEL UTILITY TRENCH AND
THE AND THE CLOSEST EDGE OF ANY WET FACILITY.
14. PG&E MUST RECEIVE THE INSPECTION CLEARANCE FROM THE CITY /
COUNTY BUILDING INSPECTION DEPARTMENT, PRIOR TO THE
GAS METER INSTALLATION.
