1. ALL GRADING SHALL CONFORM WITH APPENDIX J — CALIFORNIA BUILDING
CODE AND STANDARDS PERTAINING THEREOF AND PRELIMINARY SOILS
REPORT BY KRAZAN & ASSOCIATES INC. PROJECT N®. 022-16086, DATED
SEPTEMBER 28, 2016.
2. ALL FILL COMPACTED TO A MINIMUM OF NINETY (90%) PERCENT OF
MAXIMUM DENSITY AS DETERMINED BY APPROVED METHOD PER SECTION
3305 OF THE CURRENT CALIFORNIA BUILDING CODE.
3. ALL FILL AREAS TO BE CLEARED OF ALL VEGETAION AND OTHER
UNSUITABLE MATERIALS FOR A STRUCTURE FILL AND THE AREA SCARIFIED
TO A DEPTH OF SIX (6) INCHES.
4. PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION A N.O.I. SHALL BE FILED WITH THE STATE WATER
RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD.
5. A STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLAN (SWPPP) SHALL BE
PREPARED AND IMPLEMENTED DURING CONSTRUCTION.
6. ALL CONSTRUCTION TO COMPLY WITH STATE OF CALIFORNIA DIVISION OF
INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND ALL APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS OF OSHA SAFETY
AND HEALTH STANDARDS FOR CONSTRUCTION AND THE MANUAL OF
TRAFFIC CONTROLS.
7. THE DESIGN ENGINEER SHALL EXERCISE SUFFICIENT SUPERVISOR CONTROL
DURING GRADING AND CONSTRUCTION TO INSURE COMPLIANCE WITH THE
PLANS, SOILS REPORT, SPECIFICATIONS, AND CODE WITHIN HIS PURVIEW.
8. 24 HOUR NOTICE: PRIOR TO THE START OF ANY PHASE OF CONSTRUCTION,
THE CITY CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION SECTION SHALL BE GIVEN AT LEAST 24
HOUR NOTICE. THE SECTION MAY BE NOTIFIED AT (661) 326-3049.
9. COMPACTION TEST NOTE: COMPACTION TEST SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF
THE DEVELOPER/SUBDIVIDER/ CONTRACTOR. THE NUMBER AND LOCATION OF
REQUIRED TESTS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CITY ENGINEER.
10. AN OPEN STREET PERMIT SHALL BE OBTAINED FROM THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT FOR ANY WORK PERFORMED WITHIN EXISTING
ACCEPTED STREET RIGHT OF WAY. UNLESS SECURED BY A SUBDIVISION AGREEMENT,
SECURITY BASED ON AN APPROVED ENGINEER'S ESTIMATE FOR WORK PERFORMED
WITHIN THE RIGHT OF WAY AND INSURANCE AS REQUIRED SHALL BE PROVIDED
PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF PERMIT.
11. MAXIMUM SLOPE RATIO FROM BACK OF SIDEWALK TO FACE OF WALL OR STRUCTURE
SHALL BE 4:1, EXCEPT FOR TWO FEET BEHIND THE SIDEWALK WHERE THE MAXIMUM
SLOPE SHALL BE 2%. ALTERNATIVELY, THE CITY ENGINEER MAY APPROVE CURBING
BEHIND THE SIDEWALK OR OTHER METHOD TO PREVENT EROSION ONTO THE SIDEWALK.
12. UNDERGROUND SERVICE ALERT SHALL BE CONTACTED TWO (2) WORKING DAYS
PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. (1-800-612-2444)
13. ANY PUBLIC FACILITIES IN THE STREET RIGHT OF WAY WITHIN THE PROPERTY
FRONTAGE WHICH ARE SUBSTANDARD OR DAMAGED WILL REQUIRE RECONSTRUCTION
OR REPAIR AS DETERMINED BY THE CITY ENGINEER.
14. IF THE PROJECT IS SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE NATIONAL POLLUTANT
DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM (NPDES), A "NOTICE OF INTENT" (NOI) TO COMPLY
WITH THE TERMS OF THE GENERAL PERMIT TO DISCHARGE STORM WATER ASSOCIATED
WITH CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY (SWRCB ORDER No. 2009-009-DWQ AS AMENDED
BY ORDER 2010-0014-DWQ AND ORDER 2012-0006-DWQ) MUST BE FILED WITH
STATE WATER RESOURCES CONTROL BOARD IN SACRAMENTO BEFORE THE BEGINNING
