3026 NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTIONS 15.24.010 AND
15.24.020 OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
REGARDING THE CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF
DANGEROUS BUILDINGS.
BE
as follows:
IT ORDAINED by the Council of
the City of Bakersfield
SECTION 1.
Section 15.24.010 of the Bakersfield
hereby amended to read as follows:
15.24.010 Adoption.
Except as otherwise provided
certain code entitled Uniform Code for
Buildings, 1985 Edition, sponsored and
Municipal Code is
in this chapter, that
the Abatement of Dangerous
copyrighted by the Inter-
national Conference of Building Officials, three copies of which
have been filed with the clerk of the city for use and examination
by the public, is adopted by reference and enacted as the Uniform
Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings of the city, for
the purpose stated therein and with the exceptions and subject
to the amendments and deletions of the provisions thereof provided
in this chapter.
SECTION 2.
Section 15.24.020 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
15.24.020 Deletions.
The following section of the Uniform Code for the
Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1985 Edition, is not adopted as
part of this chapter and is deleted:
Section 205, Board of Appeals.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance, was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 7th day of May , 19 86 by
