NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING CHAPTER 15.20 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE
HNIFORM HOUSING CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
follows:
Section
SECTION 1.
15.20.010 of the Bakersfield Municipal
Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
15.20.010 Adoption.
Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, that
certain housing code known and designated as the Uniform Housing
Code, 1985 Edition, sponsored and copyrighted by the Internatior, al
Conference of Building Officials, three copies of which have been
filed with the city clerk of the city for use and examination by
the public, is adopted by reference as modified and amended in
this chapter and is declared to be the housing code of the city
for the purpose of providing requirements for the protection of
life, limb, health, property and safety and welfare of the general
public and the owners and occupants of residential buildings-
SECTION 2.
Section 15.20.020 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
15.20.020 Deletions.
The following section of the Uniform Housing Code, 1.985
Edition, is not adopted as part of this chapter and is deleted:
Section 203, Housing Advisory and Appeals Board.
SECTION 3.
Section 15.20.030 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
