1D All new signal indications where shown on schedule shall be 12" LED "red," green, It
and 'yellow" per Specifications.
2 Contractor shall remove and replace all existing "HPS" Luminaires. Poles A & E shall be Roadway Type 1 and Poles C & G shall be Roadway Type 2 LED Luminaires.
3 Contractor shall remove and replace Pedestrian Indication Modules on Poles A, C & E with CPS LED Upraised Hand, and Walking Person Combo Modules with International
Symbol Pedestrian Change Interval Countdown Display Type as detailed in the Specifications and all new pole locations. Instoll Ped Head on Pole G and face down for future use.
4 Existing pullboxes not used in the modified signal system shall be removed.
5 Loops shall be centered in their respective lanes and as directed by the Engineer at the site. Detector loops and lead-in cables within 8 feet of the curb flowline shall be a
minimum of 1.5 inches below the surface of the paving. Loops shall be installed only between the hours of 8.• 30 AM - 4: 30 PM. Loops not used in the signal system shall be
abandoned. Existing pullboxes not used in signal modification shall be removed.
6 Where existing loops & detector assignments are to remain, loops shall be assigned as shown. Protect existing energized loops to remain, in place.
7 Existing controller cabinet and meter pedestal to remain in place. Existing signal and lighting system shall remain active until all new sigal modifications are complete and in place.
$ Locations of the Standards shall be 4' minimum between face of the pole and the flowline, or 5' behind flowline where applicable, or as directed by the engineer.

L�j Contractor shall re -install existing Opticom 711 pre-emption device from existing Pole J to Pole G. The contractor shall furnish and install new cables. Exact hardware mounting
placement shall be determined by the Traffic Engineer in the field.
10 Install pull ropes from the controller cabinet internally to all Traffic Signal Standards new and existing that have a luminaire arm where needed. The pull rope shall be
nylon or polypropylene with a minimum tensile strength of 500 pounds. The pull rope shall be doubled back at least 2 feet at each end.
11 The Contractor shall supply and install one complete Encom 900 mhz (5100R) spread spectrum radio system. The contractor shall install a 15 DBI yogi Cushcraft antenna and
mount. The exact antenna placement shall be determined by the Engineer in the field. The system shall include an Encom polyphoser lightning protector that will be installed in
the existing traffic signal cabinet along with a Contractor supplied GDI Model 404SA modem. The Contractor shall install LMR coaxial cables from the existing 332 cabinet to the
antenna location as shown and determined by the Traffic Engineer in the field. The Contractor shall install two Type N connectors on each end of the coaxial cable, as well as
a 4' drop cable, a DB9 to C2 Data Cable and all equipment for a fully functional radio system.
12 Contractor shall install Pole "G" at State Plane Coordinate location (N 2290318.75, E 6256754.88). Base of pole (Future Finish Grade) shall be set at on Elevation of J54.62'
Contractor shall install sonotube for foundation as needed.

CONDUCTOR NOTES:
1. Conduits designated (N)ew or (E)xisting refer to conduits. Conductors shall be new except when noted
in the conductor schedule (N) new for DLCs upper value or (E) existing for DLCs lower value. Any existing
useoble DLCs may be reused at Contractor's discretion.
2. All new signal conduits shall be placed no less than 2.5 ft below existing ground grade to assure future roadway pavement
placement clearance. All existing and functional DLCs used in existing signal system to remain in place.
