AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD DESIGNATING COLUMBUS STREET AND
WEST COLUMBUS STREET AS THE OFFICIAL NAMES FOR
ALL EXISTING STREETS ON SAME ALIGNMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
That the portion of existing Columbus Street or that
certain street ~n' same alignment between Union Avenue and
Panorama Drive and known as Columbus Avenue, Panorama Street,
Oswell Street, etc., be officially designated as Columbus Street
to eliminate all existing discrepancies.
SECTION 2.
That the portion of existing West Columbus Street or
that certain street on same alignment between Union Avenue and
Chester Avenue and known as 42nd Street be officially designated
as West Columbus Street to eliminate all existing discrepancies.
SECTION 3.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City Charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regu-
lar meeting thereof held on the 5th .day of November, 1986, by the
following vote:
CITY CLERK and Ex Officio Clerk of the
Council of the City of Bakersfield
