ORDERING THE VACATION OF ROBINSON STREET BETWEEN THE
ALLEY AND EAST 21ST STREET AND THE ALLEY ADJACENT TO KERN
BLOCK 103, IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.

A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF
ROBINSON STREET BETWEEN THE ALLEY AND
EAST 21ST STREET AND THE ALLEY ADJACENT
TO KERN BLOCK 103, IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on the 14th day of June, 1978, the Council of
the City of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street
Vacation Act of 1941," being Division 9, Part 3, of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, passed and adopted
its Resolution of Intention No. 933 declaring its intention to
order the vacation of Robinson Street between the alley and East
21st Street and the alley adjacent to Kern Block 103, in the City
of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for
hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed
vacation which said hearing was held on the 12th day of July, 1978,
after notices were duly posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That Robinson Street between the alley and Bast 21st
Street and the alley adjacent to Kern Block 103, in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particularly
described as follows, is unnecessary for present or prospective
public street purposes:
Two parcels of land situate in the City
of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of
California, and being portions of the
former Town of Kern, as shown on that
map filed on January 12, 1889, in the
office of the Kern County Recorder, in
Book 1 of Maps, pages 15 and 16, and
also being portions of Section 29, Town-
ship 29 South, Range 28 east, M.D.M. and
more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL 1
Robinson Street, 80 feet in width, lying
between the northwesterly extensions of
the northerly and southerly lines of
Lot 16 in Block 103 as shown on said map
of Kern.
Reserving all of said street for Public
Utility Easement purposes.
PARCEL 2
All of the alley, 20 feet in width, in
Block 103 as shown on said map of Kern.
Containing .33 acres, more or less.
2. That Robinson Street between the alley and East 21st
Street and the alley adjacent to Kern Block 103, be and the same
is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street
purposes, subject to and in conformity with the reservations and
exceptions contained in and contemplated by said Resolution of
Intention No. 933. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is
hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of July, 1978, by the following
vote:
