RESOLUTION NO. _
RESOLUTION BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
AUTHORIZING THE WATER RESOURCES
MANAGER TO APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDS
FROM THE WATER AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY
WATERSMART PROGRAM ADMINISTERED BY
THE UNITED STATES BUREAU OF RECLAMATION
FOR A SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA
ACQUISITION (SCADA) PROJECT.
WHEREAS, Title XVI Water Reclamation and Reuse funding applications
require an adoption of a resolution by the governing legal authority of the
applicant; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield desires consideration of its
application for Funding Opportunity Announcement No. BOR -DO -18-F006; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield, if selected, will enter into an agreement
with the Bureau of Reclamation for the proposed project; and
WHEREAS, the City certifies by resolution the approval of the application
and the availability of eligible matching funds prior to submission of the
application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals and findings are true and correct and are
incorporated herein by reference.
2. The City Council has the legal authority to enter into a cooperative
agreement with the Bureau of Reclamation.
3. The City Council and appropriate City staff have reviewed and
support the application submitted.
4. The City Council certifies that City of Bakersfield will have sufficient
funds and/or in-kind contributions as specified in the application
funding plan.
5. The City Council certifies that, if selected, City of Bakersfield will work
with the Bureau of Reclamation to meet established deadlines for
entering into a cooperative agreement.
