NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING SECTION 17.10.020 I AND
AMENDING SECTION 17.66.020 B.8. OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO REAL
ESTATE TRACT SALES OFFICES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 17.10.020 I is hereby added to the Bakersfield
Municipal Code to read as follows:
17.10.020 Uses .permitted
I. Real estate tract sales offices.
A sales office shall be used only during the original
sales of the lots and/or homes within the subdivision in which it
is located. Any sales office located in the garage portion of a
residence shall be removed and converted to a garage. A per-
formance surety bond, in an amount determined by the Building
Director for the conversion of the tract sales office to a resi-
dence with garage, shall be filed with the Building Director
before any such office is oDened for business.
SECTION 2.
Section 17.66.020 B.8. of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 17.66.920 Uses permitted in ~n~ zone
B.8. Golf Courses and Country Clubs
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of this passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regu-
lar meeting thereof held on the 1Ith day of February ___, 19 87
