The undersigned City Engineer of the City of Bakersfield,
designated by ordinances of said City as Advisory Agency with
respect to Parcel Map Waivers and Lot Line Adjustments and
acting herein on behalf of the City of Bakersfield, hereby
certifies that the Parcel Map Waiver for the hereinafter-
described parcel of land complies with the provisions of the
Subdivision Map Act of the State of California and Chapter 16
of the City of Bakersfield Municipal Code regulating
divisions of land.
Said parcel of land, being situated in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern,. State of California, is more
particularly described as follows on Exhibit A and shown on
Exhibit B.

EXHIBIT "A"
PARCEL A
A portion of Block 177 and portions of Sumner Street and of East Truxtun Avenue,
vacated under Resolution of Intention No. 364 of the City Council of the City of
Bakersfield approved December 15, 1919 in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California, according to the Map of Bakersfield and Sumner,
recorded June 5, 1888, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the Northerly right of way line of East
Truxtun Avenue as such line is determined by above resolution of
intention, distant from the point of intersection of same line with
the Northeasterly right of way line of Sumner Street as such is
relocated under the same resolution, 350 feet;
THENCE along the Northerly right of way line of said East Truxtun
Avenue, South 87 degrees, 08' 28" East, 300 feet to the Southwest
corner of land described in Deed to Nettie McNay, recorded November 19,
1947 as Document No. 11247;
THENCE North 2 degrees 51' 32" East, 170.06 feet to the Northwest
corner of said McNay parcel being in the Southwesterly boundary of
Southern Pacific Railroad Asphalto Branch;
THENCE Northwesterly along said Southwesterly line of said right of
way along a taper curve, an arc distance of 28.98 feet to the end of
said taper curve, said point being 100 feet distant at right angles
from the center line of Southern Pacific Railroad main line;
THENCE North 73 degrees 43'08" West along a line parallel to and
distant 100 feet from said center line of Southern Pacific Railroad
main line, 281.57 feet to the Northwest corner of the land described
in "Deed without warranty" to the City of Bakersfield, recorded April 26,
1988 in Book 6116, Page 164 of Official Records;
THENCE South 2 degrees 51' 32" West along the West line of said City
of Bakersfield parcel, 247.95 feet to the point of beginning.
