AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SUBSECTION 17.66.020 B.13
OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
SKATEBOARD RAMPS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 17.66.020 B. 13 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
17.66.020 U~ses permitted in an~. zone.
B. 13 Skateboard ramps having a vertical height (above or
below grade) exceeding four feet, having a vertical height (above
or below grade) of four feet or more with a vertical top cap or
structural crossmember exceeding six inches in width, having a
horizontal plan (footprint) area exceeding one-hundred twenty
square feet, any skateboard ramp encroaching into any yard setback
required by this title, or having more than one skateboard ramp
with a combined horizontal plan (footprint) area exceeding one-
hundred twenty square feet on any parcel. Notwithstanding Section
17.08.060 G., skateboard ramps made nonconforming by this subsec-
tion shall either be authorized by conditional use permit or abated
within three months of the effective date of the ordinance adopting
this subsection.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the City
charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30) days from
and after the date of its passage.

meeting thereof held on June 17, 1987 , by the
