THE SUBDIVIDER, IF REQUIRED, SHALL OBTAIN GRADING APPROVAL AS REQUIRED BY CITY OF BAKERSFIELD ORDINANCE, PRIOR TO START OF ANY EARTHWORK, 2 ANY TRENCHING TO BE CONDUCTED WITHIN THIS PROJECT SHALL BE BACKFILLED AND COMPACTED PER CITY STANDARD DETAIL ST -22. 3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE OR RELOCATE ALL OBSTRUCTIONS WITHIN THE STREET RIGHT -GF -WAY AS DIRECTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER. 4. RELATIVE COMPACTION OF NOT LESS THAN 95% SHALL BE OBTAINED FOR A MINIMUM DEPTH (T) OF 1.1 FOOT BELOW FINISH GRADE ON LOCAL STREETS (17=1.5' TO 2.5 AS DIRECTED BY THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR ON COLLECTOR AND ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS) FROM LIP OF GUTTER TO LIP OF GUTTER. IN ADDITION, RELATIVE COMPACTION OF NOT LESS THAN 907 SHALL BE OBTAINED FOR A MINIMUM DEPTH OF 0.5 FEET BELOW GRADING PLANE FOR THE ENTIRE WIDIH OF PAVEMENT (LIP OF GUTTER TO UP OF GUTTER). 6. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN 90% RELATIVE COMPACTION UNDERNEATH THE SIDEWALK AND CURB AND GUTTER TO A DEPTH OF 6'. THE LOCATION OF THE TESTS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CITY. 7. COMPACTION TESTS SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE DEVELOPER. THE NUMBER AND LOCATION OF REQUIRED TESTS SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE CITY ENGINEER. THE COST OF RETESTING DUE TO FAILED COMPACTION TESTS WILL BE BACKCHARGED TO THE CONTRACTOR. 8. ALL CONCRETE SHALL BE CLASS 3 AND $HALL CONTAIN A MINIMUM OF 505 LBS./CU. YD. OF CEMENT AND HAVE A MAXIMUM WATER/CEMENT RATIO OF 0.50. 9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL PERMANENT TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNING AND OTHER SAFETY DEVICES (NOT SHOWN ON THESE PLANS) TO MEET WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE CITY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR. THE PRICE FOR THIS ITEM SHALL BE INCLUDED IN THE PAVEMENT PRICE. 14. SIGN PANELS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON POSTS WITH HAWKINS M2G SERIES BOLT AND VANDAL PROOF NUT ASSEMBLY OR EQUAL, ROADSIDE SIGNS INSTALLED PER CITY STANDARD DETAIL T-19 SHALL BE LOCATED WITHIN SIDEWALK, 6" FROM BACK. 15. CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL BLUE MARKERS IN THE STREET AT THE FIRE HYDRANTS PER THE FIRE DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS. 16.
