CITY ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW ASSISTANT CITY MANANGER
The City of Bakersfield is pleased to announce that Development Services Director Jacqui
Kitchen has been appointed to be the next Assistant City Manager of the City of
Bakersfield.
Commenting on his decision, City Manager Alan Tandy stated, “Jacqui brings
intelligence, energy, experience, and a problem solving approach.”
Jacqui is a native to Bakersfield who joined the City of Bakersfield as Planning Director in
December 2014. She was promoted to Department Head for the Development Services
Department in December 2016, where she performed with excellence.
As the next Assistant City Manager of Bakersfield, Jacqui will work on the implementing
of service enhancements as a result of the Public Safety and Vital Services measure, serve
as the primary staff to several Council Committees, as well as assisting the City Manager
Alan Tandy and Assistant City Manager Chris Huot in the overall administration of the City.
