Importance: High From: Greg Wolf Sent: Wednesday, October 24, 2012 8:35 AM To: Howard Wines Cc: John Wilburn; Zachary Meyer; Ralph Braboy Subject: Possible Hazzardous waste in the trash to the land fill. Importance: High During an inspection of a radiator service on 10/23/12 at 307 E California (Gonzales Radiator service) I asked for his Hazardous Waste Manifest for his radiator sludge and he said he canceled his hazardous waste service and has not had service for over a year or two. When I asked him what he did with the "sludge" from the radiators that is normally pick up by "Hot Tank Supply" he stated he put it in the trash. I informed him that is not allowed and he has to have a hazardous waste service for the Radiator sludge. Since the waste was put in the dumpster would that be a "Cups" action? We hoped on issuing a Zero Discharge Certificate but this can prevent his certificate. His current Certificate will expires at the end of the year. Radiator Sludge contains heavy metals, antifreeze and can have corrosive material from the cleaning process.
