RESOLUTION APPROVING/MMENDED BOLINDARY YtP
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 98-1
(BRIMHALL IV/STOCKDALE HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL/GOSFORD INDUSTRIAL)
WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 142-98, adopted on
November 4, 1998, this City Council has previously approved the
boundary map entitled "Proposed Boundaries of City of Bakersfield
Assessment District No. 98-1 (Brimhall IV/Stockdale Highway
Commercial/Gosford Industrial)" (the "Boundary Map"), and the
Boundary Map was thereafter recorded in the office of the County
Recorder of the! County of Kern; and
WHEREAS, Castle & Cooke Commercial-CA, Inc. (the
"Developer"), as owner and developer of that portion of the
property within said previously-approved boundary (the "Existing
Boundary") of this proposed assessment district (the "Assessment
District") known as the Gosford Industrial area (the "Existing
Gosford Industrial Area"), has requested that the City (a) delete
said Existing Gosford Industrial Area and certain portions of the
improvement work related thereto from the Assessment District and
(b) add a new area, also to be known as the Gosford Industrial
area (the "New Gosford Industrial Area"), which is immediately
adjacent to the Existing Gosford industrial Area and to the north
of it and add certain improvement work related to the New Gosford
Industrial Area to the authorized improvement work of the
Assessment District; and
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Clerk an amended
boundary map entitled "Amendment to Proposed Boundaries of City

of Bakersfield Assessment District No. 98-1 (Brimhall
IV/Stockdale Highway Commercial/Gosford Industrial), County of
Kern, State of Cal2fornia (Boundary Amendment No. t)" (the
"Amended Boundary Map"), which revises the proposed boundaries of
the Assessment District in accordance with the wishes of the
Developer to exclude the Existing Gosford Industrial Area and to
add the New Gosford Industrial Area;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL HEREBY FINDS,
DETERMINES AND RESOLVES as follows:
1. This Council approves the Amended Boundary Map and
adopts the boundaries shown on the Amended Boundary Map as
describing the extent of the territory included in a proposed
assessment district to be known as the City of Bakersfield
Assessment District No. 98-1 (Brimhall IV/Stockdale Highway
Commercial/Gosford Industrial), County of Kern, State of
California.
2. This Council hereby finds and determines that the
Amended Boundary Map contains the matters prescribed by Section
3110 of the California Streets and Highways Code.
3. This Council d. irects the City Clerk to certify the
adoption of this resolution on the face of the Amended Boundary
Map and to file a copy thereof with the County Recorder of the
County of Kern for placement in the Book of Maps of Assessment
and Community Facilities Districts..
