AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ADDING SECTION 3.20.126 TO THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO LEASE
OF SPACES IN CITY-OWNED PARKING LOTS AND
FACILITIES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 3.20.126 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby added to Chapter 3.20 to read as follows:
3.20.126
Lease of spaces in city-owned parking lots
and facilities.
The assistant city manager/development is hereby
authorized to approve and execute on behalf of the City leases for
spaces in city-owned parking lots and facilities in circumstances
where the lessees of such spaces require such spaces to meet
zoning ordinance parking requirements. Such lessees shall be for
a period not to exceed two years and shall provide for lease pay-
ments consistent with a Council-adopted rate schedule.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on January 6, 1988 , by the
