Traffic Advisories
➢ Lane closure scheduled for northbound Mohawk Street
The outside shoulder and outside travel lane on northbound Mohawk Street will be closed
for construction work on Monday, August 12, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30
p.m. Two lanes will remain open to northbound traffic. The closure is in the vicinity of the
westbound loop on-ramp to the Westside Parkway, but the on-ramp will remain open
while work is underway.
➢ Traffic delays at State Route 43 (Enos Lane) and Stockdale Highway
Paving operations will be underway on Saturday, August 10 at the State Route 43 (Enos
Lane) and Stockdale Highway intersection. Flagging personnel will need to stop traffic
on State Route 43 (on the south side of Stockdale Highway) between the hours of 4 a.m.
and 6 p.m. The contractor plans to shift traffic onto the new pavement on Monday,
August 12.
Traffic control will also be needed on Saturday, August 17 and Monday, August 19,
between the hours of 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Traffic control on these days will affect all
directions of travel.
Motorists should anticipate having to stop up to 15 minutes and are encouraged to use
alternate routes or allow extra time to reach their destinations if they must travel through
this intersection during these time periods.
On Monday, August 19th, the contractor plans to shift traffic onto a new shoofly
(temporary roadway) on the south side of Stockdale Highway. On the north side of
Stockdale Highway, the contractor will close State Route 43 to all traffic. A detour will
guide motorists around the work zone to Rosedale Highway via Superior Road. East-west
traffic on Stockdale Highway and access to and from State Route 43 on the south of
Stockdale Highway will remain open. The intersection is expected to operate in this 3-
way stop configuration through the end of the year.
Construction work may be postponed and rescheduled without notice due to
unforeseen circumstances. Please slow down and watch for construction workers and
equipment while driving through the work zone. The Thomas Roads Improvement
Program apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause the traveling public.
➢ Long-Term Closure of Northbound State Route 99 at Rosedale Highway/24th Street
Caltrans will be closing the northbound 99/Rosedale Highway/24th Street exit for 55
consecutive days beginning the week of August 12th . The closure will allow for the
