NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 2.04.010 OF
THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
COUNCIL MEETING TIME AND PLACE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 2.04.010 of the Bakersfield Municipal
hereby amended to read as follows:
Code is
2.04.010 Time and place.
The regular meetings of the City Council shall be held
at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1501 Truxtun
Avenue, Bakersfield, on Wednesdays of each week throughout the
year, except when such Wednesdays are a legal holiday; provided,
however, that the Council may, from time to time by resolution,
change the number and date of meetings to be held during any spec-.
ified period of time. Workshop meetings and closed sessions, as
authorized by the Ralph M. Brown Act (Government Code Section
54950 et seq.), may be held at 5:15 p.m. as part of any regular or
special meeting of the Council, provided the same appear on the
agenda for such meeting.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on January 20, 1988 __, by the
