RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO D11,1INISH THE WIDTH OF
EUREKA STREET PROIJ TJ:JF '014,STERLY LINE OF BI -YM STREET
TO THE EASTERLY LINE OF KERN STELEET IN THE CITY OF

BE IT RESOLVED BY TffF COUNCIL OF TPF CITY O -F BP.K=7311PIELD,
as follows:
That it is the intention of the Council of the City of
Bakersfield to order the following street work to be done to -wit:
That the width of Eureka Street between the westerly line
of Baker Street and the easterly line of Kern Street be diminished to
a unifonn, width of sixty (60) feet between th/=i-ines.
And Said Council does hereby determine and declare that
said proposed work and improvement is of more than ordinary public
benefit and will affect and. benefit the lands and district herein-
after described, and vfhich said district is hereby declared to be
the district affected and benefitted by said work and improvement and
that therefore the entire damages, costs and expenses of said work
and. improvement shall be and are hereby made chargeable against, and
shall be assessable upOn said land and district, which district is
within the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
and exterior boundaries of said lands affected, and benefitted. by said.
work and improvement are particularly described. as follows, to -wit:
Beg -inning at the intersection of the southerly line of
East Truxtun Avenue with the westerly line of Baker Street, thence
westerly along the southerly line of East Truxtun i,venue to the
easterly line of Kern Street, thence southerly aloe the easterly
line of Kern Street to the northerly line of the first alley south
of Eureka Street, thence easterly along the northerly line of said.
alley to the westerly line of Baker Street, thence northerly along the
westerly line of Baker Street to the -point of beginning.
1,11 the herein proposed work shall be done in pursuance
of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled

"An act to provide for the layix�, out, opening, extending, widening,
straightening, or closing, up in whole or in part, any street, lane,
square, alley, court or place within Numi.cipalities,_and to condemn
and acquire all lands and property necessary or convenient for that
purpose," approved March 6, 1889, and the several ticts amendatory
thereof or supplemental thereto.
TFE BAKERSFIELD MIFOR%MY, is hereby designated as the
daily newspaper published and circulated in said City in which the
Superintendent's;notice of the passage of this Resolution shall be
published.
