AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 3.20.126 TO THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO LEASE
OF SPACES IN CITY-OWnNED PARKING LOTS AND
PARKING FACILITIES, OF CITY PROPERTY AT THE
BAKERSFIELD AIRPARK, AND OF CITY-OWNED DOWN-
TOWN BUSINESS PROPERTIES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 3.20.126 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
3.20.126
Lease of spaces in city-owned parking lots and
parking facilities, of City property at the
Bakersfield Airpark, and of City-owned downtown
business properties.
A. The assistant city manager/development is hereby
authorized to approve and execute on behalf of the City leases for
spaces in city-owned parking lots and parking facilities in cir-
cumstances where the lessees of such spaces require such spaces to
meet zoning ordinance parking requirements. Each such lease shall
be for a period not to exceed two years and shall provide for
lease payments consistent with a Council-adopted rate schedule.
~. The assistant city manager/development is hereby
authorized to approve and execute on behalf of the City leases of
property at the City's Airpark, and City-owned downtown business
properties, provided each such lease shall be for a period not to
exceed two years and shall be for fair rental value, as determined
by the assistant city manager/development, not to exceed $1000 per
month.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.
