NEW SERIES
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 8.44.040 E. 4.
OF THE BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING
TO FIREWORKS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 8.44.040 E. 4. of the Bakersfield Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
8.44.040 Permit - Application requirements.
E. Each application shall show the following:
4. The location where the applicant will sell safe and
sane fireworks, together with a plot plan showing location of the
temporary fireworks stand, all related structures, and written
approval and consent to use such location for such use by the
owner and/or lessee; location of temporary stands may not be
changed after an application is filed except as required by the
City for compliance with sections of this or other local ordi-
nances or state regulations, or where there is evidence of change
in property ownership or management and prior approval or consent
has been revoked by the new owners or managers; not more than one
application shall be accepted for any location.
SECTION 2.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on March 2, 1988 , by the
