A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAEERSFIELD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER
THE VACATION OF THE ALLEY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
EAST CALIFORNIA AVENUE, FORMERLY BEING
LAKEVIEW AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF BAEERSFIELD.
The Council of the City of Bakersfield, California,
hereby resolves as follows:
SECTION 1: That is the intention of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, California to order the vacation of the
alley on the south side of East California Avenue, formerly being
Lakeview Avenue, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and made a part hereof, subject to the following
condition:
An easement shall be retained for existing
public sewer lines and an existing public
storm drain line.
The Council of said City hereby elects to proceed under
the provisions of Chapter 3 of Part 3 of Division 9 of the
California Streets and Highways Code ("the Public Streets,
Highways, and Service Easements Vacation Law").
For further particulars as to the proposed vacation,
reference is hereby made to a map on file in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, City Hall, 1501 Truxtun
Avenue, Bakersfield, California.
Section 2: That the hour of 7 p.m. on the 16th day of
April, 1986, in the Council Chamber in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun
Avenue, Bakersfield, California, be and the same is hereby fixed
as the time and place when and where all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation may appear before the City
Council and be heard.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk shall cause notice of
the date, hour and place of hearing on this resolution to be pub-
lished for two successive weeks prior thereto in the Bakersfield
Californian and the Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Bakersfield, California, shall cause "Notice of Alley Vacation"
to be posted as required by Section 8323 of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this resolution and shall cause the same to be posted on the
bulletin board at the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, in the City
of Bakersfield, California, within fifteen (15) days after its
passage.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council at the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of March
1986, by the following vote:

EXHIBIT "A"
That parcel of land situated in Sections 32 and 33, Township 29 South, Range 28
East, M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California,
more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot I as said lot is shown on Map of Tract
No. 1301, recorded May 28, 1946 in Book S of Maps at Page 141, in the Office of
the Kern County Recorder; Thence North 8945' east along a prolongation of the
south line of said Lot 1 a distance of 10.00 feet to a point on the west right
of way line of a 30 foot wide public alley, also being the True Point of
Beginning for this description;
Thence (1) North 00°06'30" east along said west right of way line 130.00 feet to
intersect the south right of way of California Avenue, also being the south Line
of the north 57.75 feet of said Section 32.
Thence (2) East along said south right of way line 30.00 feet to a point on the
east line of the west 10.00 feet of said Section 33, also being the east right
of way line of said public alley;
Thence (3) South 00°06'30" west along said east right of way line 130.00 feet
more or less to intersect the easterly prolongation of the south line of said
lot;l;
Thence (4) South 8945' west along said prolongation line 30.00 feet to the True
Post of Beginning.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING THEREFROM the above described parcel as an easement for
public sewer line and storm drain line purposes all of said parcel.

at the City Hall, a full, true and correct copy of a Resolution of Intention passed by the Council
of said City at a meeting thereof duly held on March 5 19 B6 which Resolution
of Intention was numbered 999 , and entitled!
