HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 166-02RESOLUTION NO. 166-02 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD DEDICATING RIGHT OF WAY FOR BUENA VISTA ROAD NORTH OF STOCKDALE HIGHWAY SITUATE WITHIN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD. WHEREAS, Castle & Cooke California, Inc., and Castle & Cooke Commercial-Ca, Inc., deeded property to the City of Bakersfield, north of Stockdale Highway at Buena Vista Road per Grant Deed recorded October 27, 1999, document #:0199155348; and WHEREAS, the Kern River Public Access Committee quitclaimed all of its rights, title, interest and claims in the above property per document #:0199155348, recorded October 27, 1999; and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield proposes to develop this property as a public park; and WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield proposes to use a portion of the property as a public street providing access to the public recreational facilities within the proposed park. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield as follows: The City of Bakersfield hereby dedicates the real property described in Exhibits "A" and "B" as a public street. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Counc. i. DOC EXHIBIT "A" LEGAL DESCRIPTION A parcel of land situated in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, being a portion of Section 6, T 30 S, R 27 E, M. D. B. & M., and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the centerlines of Stockdale Highway and Buena Vista Road, thence North 16° 59' 55" East, a distance of 97.57 feet to the southerly boundary of that parcel of land described in the grant deed to the City of Bakersfield, recorded October 27, 1999 as document No. 0199155348, O.R. of Kern County and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE (1) North 78° 51' 44" West, along said south boundary line, a distance of 45.24 feet; THENCE (2) Departing said southerly boundary line, North 16° 59' 55" East, a distance of 227.14 feet; THENCE (3) North 28° 00' 05" West, a distance of 28.28 feet; THENCE (4) North 11 ° 12' 54" East, a distance of 76.39 feet; THENCE (5) North 81° 17' 26" East, a distance of 17.35 feet, to the beginning of a non-tangent curve concave to the south, having a radius of 73.00 feet and to which beginning a radial line bears North 34° 25' 04" West; THENCE (6) Easterly along said curve through a central angle of 60° 22' 21", an arc distance of 76.92 feet, to the boundary of said parcel of land described in the grant deed to the City of Bakersfield; THENCE (7) Southerly along said boundary line South 16° 59' 55" West, a distance of 351.46 feet; THENCE (8) North 78° 51' 44" West, a distance of 11.42 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
