A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 907, 1001,
1007, 1015, 1025 13TH STREET, 1275
"P" STREET AND 1020/1022
CALIFORNIA AVENUE SURPLUS TO
THE NEEDS. OF THE CITY AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE ITS SALE
WHEREAS, during 2000, 2001 and 2002, the City acquired a fee ownership in
seven parcels of real property ("the Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Property is further described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, D.W. Sivers Company desires to purchase the Property to construct
a commercial development; and
WHEREAS, on October 17, 2002 the Planning Commission will be asked to find
the sale of the Property to be consistent with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General
Plan pursuant to Government Code Section 65402; and
WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code 3.20.125 authorizes the negotiated sale
of City property deemed to be "surplus".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:

needs and the Finance Director is authorized to negotiate its sale. The real property is
mere fully described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set
forth.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by
