AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 1.12.040 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NO. 673 TO WARD
4.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) adopted a
resolution for Annexation No. 673 ordering the territory annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is
required to be within a City Council Ward Boundary; and
WHEREAS, the LAFCo recently completed the annexation for the territory
to the City of Bakersfield, the exterior boundaries of Annexation No. 673 which is
described in the attached Exhibit A and shown on the map in Exhibit B and, attached
hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth herein.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
Section 1.
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct.
Section 2.
Annexation No. 673 shall be included in Ward 4.
Section 3.
Section 1. 12.040 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by
adding thereto the legal description set forth in Exhibit B.
Section 4.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-
described territory to the City of Bakersfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage.

REORGANIZATION
Those portions of land located in the Southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of
Section 30, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, Mount Diablo Base & Meridian, in the
County of Kern, State of Califomia more particularly described as follow:
Commencing at the southeast comer of said Section 30, said comer being monumented
and officially designated as 681,968.316 feet North and 1,669,345.712 feet East per the
California Coordinate System, Zone 5; thence North 00°51'17" East, along the east line
of said Section, a distance of 481.49 feet; thence North 89007'38" West, a distance of
30.00 feet, to a point on the the existing corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield
and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence along said corporate boundary line the following two courses;
Thence (1) North 89"07'380 West a distance of 212.00 feet;
Thence (2) North 00051'17" East 180.00 feet;
Thence (3) departing said corporate boundary line South 89007'38" East a distance of
212.00 feet to a point on the existing corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (4) South 00051'17" West a distance of 180.00 feet along said corporate
boundary line to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING.
