NOTICE TO REMOVE ALL UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS WITH
SINGLE -WALL COMPONENTS PRIOR TO DEC. 31, 2025
Dear Underground Storage Tank Owner in the City of Bakersfield:
Underground Storage Tanks (UST) installed prior to 1997 may have
one or more components which are of single -wall construction and
therefore, reauired to be removed prior to December 31 2025.
Your UST facility is identified as having a single -wall component.
Enclosed are the Notice of the Dec. 31, 2025 deadline for removal
and Fact Sheets for Grant and Loan monies available to UST owners.
The Bakersfield Fire Department wants to help you comply with this
requirement now, before it gets too late, and the funding runs out.
Please use this opportunity to apply for funding now, while funds exist.
