Mayor's Installation Ceremony
SPECIAL MEETING - 5:15 PM
1. WELCOME by Karen K. Goh- Mayor, City of Bakersfield.
2. INVOCATION by Dr. David Goh, Senior Pastor, The Garden.
3. PRESENTATION OF COLORS by the Bakersfield Fire Department and
Bakersfield Police Department.
4. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE by Senator Shannon Grove, Minority Leader,
California State Senate, District 16.
5. NATIONAL ANTHEM by Lauren Kaff, Student, Warren Junior High.
6. RECOGNITION OF SPECIAL GUESTS
Mayor Goh acknowledged the following special guests in attendance at
the ceremony: Senator Shannon Grove; Kern County District Attorney
Cynthia Zimmer; Former Councilmember Jacquie Sullivan; her brother,
David Goh; sister-in-law, Janelle Goh; niece, Annalise Goh; Everett Gray,
Councilmember Patty Gray's husband; and Cathy Abernathy.

9. ADMINISTRATION OF OATH OF OFFICE
City Clerk Drimakis administered the oath of office to Mayor Goh and
Councilmember Patty Gray.
10. MAYOR'S ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
Mayor Goh expressed appreciation to everyone in attendance at the
ceremony; recognized members of her family for their support; and
thanked the community for their vote and confidence in her ability to
serve as Mayor for another four years.

10. MAYOR'S ACKNOWLEDGMENTS continued
Councilmember Gray congratulated newly elected Councilmember Eric
Arias and Councilmembers Gonzales and Freeman, on their re-election;
thanked the voters in Ward 6 for their confidence in her; recognized
Cathy Abernathy, donors, volunteers, business associates, and friends who
have supported her; expressed appreciation to her husband, Everett;
father, Victor Killingsworth; her children and extended family; the Dream
Maker Team; friends; and Former Councilmember Jacquie Sullivan.
11. BENEDICTION by Dr. David Goh, Senior Pastor, The Garden.
12. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Goh adjourned the meeting at 6:07 p.m.
