AMENDMENT NO.1 TO RESOLUTION NO. 225-06
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
AMENDING THE �,-F VERDUGO LANE PLANNED
SEWER AREA FEE SCHEDULE AND BOUNDARY.
WHEREAS, the City Council by Resolution of Intention No. 2086 , adopted
on May 5, 2021 , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue,
Bakersfield, California, identified the amended fee schedule and boundary of
the Verdugo Planned Sewer Area; and
WHEREAS, current planned sewer area fees are set to expire by the end of
year 2021; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Verdugo Lane Planned Sewer Area
fee schedule and boundary because of the annexation of two County lots that
are part of County Service Area 71 within the existing planned sewer area into
the City that will tie-in to existing City sewer system, and will not benefit from the
Verdugo sewer line; and
WHEREAS, the revised fees are based on the actual cost of construction,
and the City desires to modify the fee schedule to set forth 2022 as the
beginning year of collection of the fees; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amended Verdugo Lane Planned Sewer Area
fees set forth in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and incorporated by reference, do
not exceed the reasonable estimated cost._based to provide sewer services;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the amended fee schedule and
boundary for the planned sewer area represents current needs and costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporated
herein by reference.
2. The Council hereby finds the amended boundary, attached
hereto as "Exhibit A" as a replacement to the original fee
schedule for the Verdugo Lane Planned Sewer Area.

3. The Council hereby finds the amended fee schedule, attached
hereto as "Exhibit B" as a replacement to the original boundary
for the Verdugo Lane Planned Sewer Area.
4. The amended fee schedule and boundary for the Verdugo Lane
Planned Sewer Area is hereby adopted.
HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
MAY 1 8 2021 by the following vote:
