2.7 WASTE MANAGEMENT
Non-hazardous wastewater and solids will be disposed of in the surface impoundment.
Wastewater that will be discharged to the surface impoundment will be from ofd site non-
hazardous industrial sources and miscellaneous sources. All wastewater sources are
characterized prior to acceptance and discharge. A description of the characterization is
described in section 2.2.
2.8 SURFACE IMPOUNDMENT
Figure 3 displays the surface impoundment details including slope, dimensions, and volumetric
capacity. Table I below contains the surface impoundment surface area, depth, volumetric
capacity, berm and slopes for the surface impoundment. The surface impoundment and
surrounding berms will be comprised of concrete. Overflow prevention features include the two
feet of freeboard in the surface impoundment and routine visual inspections.

2.9 PROPOSED FLOW LIMITS
The proposed volume of produced water to be discharged into the ponds is expected to be a
maximum of 20,000 gallons.
3.0 LOCAL AND SITE-SPECIFIC CONDITIONS
3.1 NEIGHBORING LAND USES
The Coles facility, APN 019-260-01, and surrounding parcels to the east, south and southwest,
land use includes:
Zoned M-2 — Medium Industrial
o The purpose of the Medium Industrial (M-2) District is to designate areas for
general manufacturing, processing, and assembly activities. Uses may not
produce fumes, odor, dust, smoke, gas, or vibrations extending beyond zoning
district boundaries.
