Unit #5 - Tanker Loading /Unloading Area

This Unit is located on the eastern side of the Facility, adjacent to the right of
the Unit #1 (See Attachment #1).
ACTIVITY TYPE:
Storage, treatment and transfer of hazardous waste
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION:
This Unit stores containers of liquid hazardous waste before the waste is
pumped to the storage tanks in Unit #1. This Unit is used for pumping liquid
hazardous waste from the storage tanks to the tanker trucks. This Unit may
also be used to treat tanker trucks that do not meet the definition of an empty
container as specified in California Code of Regulations, title 22, section
66261.7 by washing out soil/solids that may remain in such tanker trucks.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:
The Tanker Loading /Unloading Area has a dimension of 30'x 80'. Secondary
containment is provided by a 7-inch high berm surrounding the Unit and has a
capacity of 1,400 cubic feet.
