RE: Regulatory Status of Bakersfield Transfer, Inc.
Messrs:
The Bakersfield Fire Department Prevention Services Division is the Certified
Unified Program Agency (CUPA) for the City of Bakersfield.
It is our understanding that a Standardized Hazardous Waste Facilities permit
has been granted to Bakersfield Transfer, Inc. by the State Department of Toxic
Substances Control.
The addition to Bakersfield Transfer, Inc. facility operation involves the
installation of eight (8) 20,000 gallon capacity aboveground storage tanks for
non- hazardous, exempt, oilfield exploration and production oily waste water.
This {office has permitted the installation of the above referenced tanks under
our local permit #15- 10000270. The tanks and their specifications for
installation conform to California Fire Code requirements for fire safety and
spill prevention.
