AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING WARD BOUNDARIES.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
SECTION 1.
Section 4.04.010 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
4.04.010 Boundaries of the first ward. The boundaries
of the First Ward are hereby amended to read as follows:
All that part of the City of Bakersfield beginning at the inter-
section of the centerline of California Avenue with the west
right-of-way line of Union Avenue;
Thence northerly along the west line of Union Avenue to the north
right-of-way line of California Avenue;
Thence easterly along the north right-of-way line of California
Avenue to the centerline of Union Avenue;
Thence northerly along the centerline of Union Avenue to the cen-
terline of the A.T.&S.F. Railroad;
Thence easterly along the centerline of the A.T.&S.F. Railroad to
the centerline of Beale Avenue;

the centerline of Haley Street;
Thence north along the centerline of Haley Street to the north
right-of-way line of Panorama Drive;

right-of-way line of Baldwin Road to the centerline of Ming
Avenue;
Thence westerly along the centerline of Ming Avenue to the cen-
terline of Hughes Lane;
Thence southerly along the centerline of Hughes Lane to the cen-
terline of Wilson Road;
Thence westerly along the centerline of Wilson Road to intersect
the centerline of Wible Road, said intersection being the west

section of the easterly prolongation of the centerline of Custer
Avenue and the east right-of-way line of the Kern Island Canal,
said intersection being a point on the City Limit line;
Thence southerly and along various courses of the City Limit line
to a point on the west right-of-way line of State Route 99
Freeway (Bakersfield Bypass), said point also being a point on
the north line of Tract 3497;
Thence northerly along the last-named west right-of-way ]Line to
the centerline of Planz Road;

SECTION 8.
The City Limit Line referenced in the descriptions of
the various ward boundaries shall be that corporate boundary of
the City of Bakersfield as of the effective date of this
ordinance.
SECTION 9.
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the
City charter provisions and shall become effective thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its passage.
