RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 036.11(1)
(COUNCIL POLICY 6.6).
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield adopted Resolution No. 58-
96 thereby adopting a City Council Policy and Procedural Manual ("Manual'
herein); and
WHEREAS, Manual serves as a guideline to govern the actions, conduct and
business of the City of Bakersfield and its City Council; and
WHEREAS, certain policies and procedures of Manual have become
antiquated and require either clarification, updating, or repeal; and
WHEREAS, City Council directed City Attorney to update Chapter Six of
Manual.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
1. The above recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein by
reference.
2. Resolution No. 036-11 (1) re: EXTENSION OF VESTING RIGHTS FOR
SUBDIVISION MAPS is hereby repealed in its entirety due to the following
occurrences:
(a) In 2005, City Council adopted Resolution No. 118-05 to prohibit
discretionary 1 year extensions on vesting rights for tentative
subdivision maps.
(b) In 2011, City Council adopted Resolutions No. 36-11 and 36-11
(1), which placed a temporary abeyance of Resolution No. 118-
05.
(c) In 2019, City Council adopted Resolution No. 095-19 rescinding
Resolution No. 118-05.
Therefore, there is no longer a Council policy prohibiting discretionary 1 year
extensions.
3. Chapter 6.6 is now reserved.

4. This Resolution shall become effective and in full force upon final
passage.
