Sept. 15 could be postponed to October. KBBC responded that they want to keep Sept. 15
to promote the 20'" anniversary.
• Greg 011ivier: Thanks for everyone's time and efforts. Happy to see people getting together
in person.
• Mayor Karen Gob: Thanked everyone for their efforts and appreciated what everyone has
done.
VI. KBBC and Advisory Board Comments
• Crystal Pinthong: Apologized for not being as involved due to health issues, but is doing
better and is glad to be back.
• Heather Pennella: Accepted a position as the Director of Corporate and Foundation
Relations for California State University of Bakersfield. Excited she gets to stay in the
community and still be a part of KBBC. She will be quiet through September as she is
transitioning into her newjob.
• Brooks Douglass: Thanked everyone for attending the meeting. Asked to put on the agenda
for next month's meeting to change the bylaws to make all appointees committee members
rather than have half remain as alternates. Deputy City Attorney, Viridiana Gallardo-King
commented that it is not as simple as just amending the by-laws since the ordinance would
have to be amended as well (requires City Council action). An update will be provided by
Mrs. Gallardo-King at next month's meeting.
• John Enriquez: Great job everyone, have a wonderful weekend, and be safe.
• Paul Yanez: Nice to be able to get together and thanked everyone for their time.
