RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE BAKERSFIELD CITY COUNCGL APPROVING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CIRCULATION ELEMENT MAP TO DELETE A
FUTURE COLLECTOR ROAD SEGEMENT AT ATLAS COURT (GPA NO_
21-0265)_
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield development Services C>ep(nrtment filed on
opplicotion requesting on amendment to the Circulation Element map of the Metropolitan
Bakersfield General Plon to delete a future collector road segment of Atlas Court, between
Knudsen drive and Standard Street (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Project is exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on September 16, 2021,
and approved Resolution No. 47-21, which recommended that the City Council approve
the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City Council set Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 5;15 p.m.
in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California, as the
time and place for a public hearing before the City Council to consider the approval of the
amendment os required by Government Code Section 65355, and notice of the public
hearing was given in the manner provided in Title 1 7 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, during the hearing, the City Council considered all facts, testimony, and
evidence concerning the staff report, Notice of Exemption, and the Planning Commission's
deliberation, and action.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Bakersfield City Council os follows:
l . The above recitals, incorporated herein, are true and correct_
2. The Planning Commission's findings os contained in its Resolution No_ 47-21 ore
hereby adopted.
3_ The Project is hereby approved os shown in Exhibit A, incorporated herein.
4_ The Project approved herein is hereby mode port of the 1- amendment to the
Circulation Element of the Metropolitan BoKersfield General Rlcon for colendor
year 2021 in accordance with Government Code Section 65358 (b).
