RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE BAKERSFIELD CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE CIRCULATION ELEMENT MAP TO DELETE A
PLANNED COLLECTOR ALIGNMENT ON A PORTION OF ETCHART
ROAD BETWEEN SHANE STREET AND JEWETTA AVENUE (GPA NO. 21-
0089).
WHEREAS, McIntosh 8& Associates, filed on application with the City of Bakersfield
!Development Services Oaportment requesting an amendment to the Circulation Element
mop of the Metropolitan Bakersfield General Pion to delete o planned collector alignment
on a portion of Etchart Road between Shane Street and Jewetta Avenue (the "Project");

WHEREAS, the Project is exempt from the requirements of the Co liforn is
Environmental Quality Act; oncl
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held o public hearing on September 16, 2021,
and approved Resolution No. 46-21, which recommended that the City Council approve
the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the City Council set Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 5:15 p.m.
in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1 501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, Coliforn io, as the
time Gond place for o public hearing before the City Council to consider the approval of the
amendment os required by Government Code Section 65355, and notice of the public
hearing was given in the manner provided in Title 1 7 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code; Gond
WHEREAS, during the hearing, the City Council considered all facts, testimony, and
evidence concerning the staff report, Notice of Exemption, cond the Planning Commission's
deliberation, and action_
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Bakersfield City Council as follows:
1 . The above recitals, incorporated herein, ore true and correct_
2. The Planning Commission's findings as contained in its Resolution No. 46-21 ore
hereby adopted.
3. The Project is hereby approved os shown in Exhibit A, incorporated herein.
4_ The Project approved herein is hereby mode part of the 2-d amendment to the
Circulation Element of the Metropolitan Bo Kersfie/d Genera/ P/on for calendar
year 2021 in accordo nce with Government Code Section 65358 (b).
