AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 7_72_030 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NO_ 679 TO WARD
3.
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) adopted o
resolution for Annexation No_ 679 recently ordering the territory annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is
required to be within o City Council Word Boundary: and
WHEREAS, the LAFCo recently completed the annexation for the territory
to the City of Bo Kersfield. the exterior boundaries of Annexation No_ 679 which is
described in the attached Exhibit A Gond shown in the attached Exhibit B, attached
hereto and incorporated os though fully set forth herein_

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bo Kersfield
Section 7 _
All of the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be true and correct_
Section 2_
Annexation No_ 679 shall be included in Word 3_
Section 3.
Section 1 _12.030 of the Bo Kersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by
adding thereto the legal description set forth in Exhibit A.
Section 4_
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bo Kersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-
described territory to the City of Bolcgrsfield, but not less than thirty (30) days from and
after the dote of its passage_

PROPOSED ANNEXATION
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
All that portion of the North half of Section 28, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, Mount
Diablo Meridian, in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California more particularly
described as follows:
COMMENCING at a point along the North right-of-way of Rosedale Highway per CalTrans
relinquishment map filed in Book 7 at Page 10 of maps in the office of the Kern County
Recorder, said point being a distant 228 Feet more or less West of the Centerline of Patton
Way, having an approximate California Coordinate System, Zone 5, NAD83 Coordinate of;
Northing: 2327643.40
Easting: 6238527.80
Also being the existing Easterly limits of the City of Bakersfield and the TRUE POINT OF
BEGINNING; THENCE along the following fifty-three (53) courses;
1. Easterly along the North line of aforementioned Right -of -Way a distance of
188.13 Feet to the beginning of a non -tangent curve having a radius of 20.00
Feet concaved to the Northwest from which a radial line bears N 00006'29" E;

2. Through said curve Easterly and Northerly an arc distance of 31.51 Feet through
a central angle of 90'15'24"; THENCE
3. S 89°39'12" E a distance of 40.00' to the beginning of a non -tangent curve having
a radius of 20.00 Feet concaved to the Northeast from which a radial bears
