AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL GORE
SECTION 1_12_010 BY ADDING ANNEXATION NO_ 691 TO WARD

WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) adopted o
resolution for Annexation No_ 691 recently ordering the territory annexed to the City of
Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, the territory ordered to be annexed to the City of Bakersfield is
required to be within a City Council Word Boundary: and
WHEREAS, the LAFCo recently completed the annexation for the territory
to the City of Bcokersfield, the exterior boundaries of Annexation No_ 691 which is
described in the ottcoched Exhibit A and shown in the attached Exhibit B, attached
hereto and incorporated os though fully set forth herein_

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
Section 7 _
All of the foregoing recitals ore hereby found to be true and correct_
Section 2_
Annexation No_ 691 shall be included in Word 1 _
Section 3_
Section 1 .12.010 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended by
adding thereto the legal description set forth in Exhibit A_
Section 4_
This ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the Bakersfield
Municipal Code and shall become effective upon the annexation of the above-
described territory to the City of Bokersfigld, but not less than thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage_

TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETACHMENT " " CSA 11 REORGANIZATION
Being a portion of Tract 1081 recorded May 4, 1939 in Map Book 4 at Page 152 filed in
the office of the Kern Country Recorder, also being a portion of Parcel Map 11782
recorded November 26, 2008 in Map Book 57 at Page 34 filed in the office of the Kern
County Recorder, also being a portion of the West 2010 feet of the South half of the
North half of the Northwest quarter of Section 4, Township 30 South, Range 28 East,
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian, in the County of Kem, State of California, more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest comer of said Section 4, thence South 00040'30" West
along the West line of said Section 4, also being the centerline of Cottonwood Road
(County Road 18 & 63), a distance of 674.57 feet, thence North 89010'00" East, a
distance of 30.01 feet, said point also being the Northwest corner of said Tract 1081,
thence South 00°40'30" West, a distance of 194.07 feet, thence South 88012'30" East, a
distance of 25.00 feet, said point also being on the Southerly right-of-way line of State
Route 58 (VI-KER 58) and the POINT OF BEGINNING, thence following sixteen courses:
(1) North 24° 15'12" East along the said Southerly right-of-way line a distance of 83.00
feet, said point also being a point on the existing City of Bakersfield corporate
boundary per Annexation 378 recorded November 10, 1994 as Document No.
01 941 6341 8 as filed in the office of the Kern County Recorder for the following
seven courses; thence
(2) North 84042'52" East along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly right-
of-way line a distance of 195.97 feet; thence
(3) North 83112'55" East along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly right-
of-way line a distance of 100.82 feet; thence
(4) North 89010'37" East along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly right-
of-way line a distance of 50.00 feet; thence
(5) North 83°40'30" East along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly right-
of-way line a distance of 161.12 feet; thence
(6) North 84°24'28" East along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly right-
of-way line a distance of 146.45 feet to the beginning of a non -tangent curve
concave to the Southeast and having a radius of 5,000.00 feet, from which a
radial line bears South 05°35'32" East; thence
(7) Along said curve and also along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly
right-of-way line through a central angle of 05034'02" an arc distance of 485.83
feet; thence
(8) North 89058'30" East along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly right-
of-way line a distance of 1,349.95 feet to the Westerly right-of-way line of South
Washington Street, said point also being a point on the existing City of Bakersfield
corporate boundary per Annexation 408 recorded March 30, 2000 as Document

following seven courses; thence
(9) South 01°17'48" East along the said corporate boundary and said Westerly right-
of-way line a distance of 608.77 feet to the Southerly right-of-way line of Feliz
Drive (County Road 1314 & 2494); thence
(10) South 89013'12" West along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly
right-of-way line a distance of 1,183.52 feet; thence
(11) South 00037'31 " West along the said corporate boundary a distance of 416.80
feet; thence
(12) South 88°38'21 " West along the said corporate boundary a distance of 417.61
feet; thence
(13) North 00°39' 16" East along the said corporate boundary a distance of 417.95
feet to the Southerly right-of-way line of Feliz Drive (County Road 1314 & 1693);
thence
(14) South 88037'20" West along the said corporate boundary and said Southerly
