FINANCE E>IRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIOOING THEREFOR ANO PURCHASE A ROLL
OFF TRUCK FROM RAY GASKIN SERVICE, INC.
NOT TO EXCEEE> $249,100_
WHEREAS, The development Services EDepcirtment's Code Enforcement
division is in immediate need for a Roll Off Truck for the rapid response team; and
WHEREAS, a roll off truck ordered in March 2021 for Code Enforcement has
a long lead time for delivery; and
WHEREAS, not having the roll off truck is detrimental to the expected service
of the rapid response team from the community, and
WHEREAS, Municipal code section 3.20.060 ID.2 states when the City
Council, by Resolution, determines that work, supplies, equipment, or materials
can only reasonably obtained from one vendor because of restricted availability;
and
WHEREAS, staff located a suitable roll off truck for immediate purchase from
Ray Gaskin Service, Inc. in Fontana, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEE3 by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
as follows:
The above recitals ore true and correct and incorporated herein by
reference.
2. The vehicle con be reasonably obtained from one vendor because
of the need to make immediate purchase of a roll off truck.
3. The Finance Director is authorized to dispense with bidding in
accordance with Section 3.20.060 1D.2 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
4. The expenditure of funds for said work, supplies, equipment, or
material shall not exceed two hundred forty-nine thousand one hundred dollars
$249,100)-
