ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.04 OF THE
BAKERSFIELD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO COUNCIL
MEETINGS_
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield os follows:
SECTION 1.
Chapter 2.04 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code is hereby amended to read
os follows:
2.04.010 Time and place_
2.04.020 Autl-aority and purpose_
2.04.030 Rules of procedure_
2.04.040 Agenda_
2.04.050 Disruption_
2_04.010 Time and place_
Regular meetings of the City Council shall be held in the council chambers of City
Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, cot a time and date set annually by
resolution of the City Council_
2_04.020 Aut"<>rIty and purpose_
The City Council is a legislative body and is subject to the Brown Act_
2.04.030 Rules of procedure_
Rules of procedure regarding the conduct of Council meetings shall be set by
Council policy_
2.04.040 Aoenda_
A_ There shall be prepared on agenda for each meeting of the City Council
which agenda shall be in accordance with applicable state and local laws and
Council policy_
B_ The preparation of the agenda and its distribution shall be as directed by the
Council.

2.04.050 Disruption.
All persons in attendance at City Council meetings shall abide by the rules of
procedure and decorum as may be established by action of the City Council.
Any person who willfully disrupts the orderly proceedings of the Council meeting
may be barred by the presiding officer from speaking further before the Council
during that meeting, in addition to all other available legal remedies.
SECTION 2.
This Ordinance shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code and shall become effective thirty (30) days from and
after the date of its passage.
HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Ordinance was passed and adopted,
by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meeting thereof held on
DEC 15 2021 by the following vote:
